If you want to really LIVE, you have to FEEL your life. The only thing keeping you from living your full potential is everything you are AVOIDING. (AKA - resistance/fear)
I know this path well. I have been a masterful avoidant queen. If I could theme the last decade, I would say it has been a journey of chasing my own ass in circles…really colored- in-nicely, beautiful circles ;) I give myself an A+ for efforting, spinning my wheels, striving for perfection, seeking the next highest rung on the ladder, though eventually becoming a person that wanted to end the madness. I wanted to die. I cycled in and out of misery, blame, and desperation. And thank God because rock bottom is the best place to be if you want to find the Truth.
In the moments I couldn’t hold back the hurt anymore, a power expansively greater than my limited self, loved me back home. I recognized and experienced this infinite, creative, undying powerhouse of strength and joy as an energy coursing through me, not solely an idea of something outside of me that I had yet to know or been worthy of being given access to. The power of grace and the courage to get more intimate with my mind, body and heart opened the door to Love in it’s truest existence. The struggle and the pain broke me open. The “darkness”, opened me to what I truly am, where I came from and the knowing that I am always connected to the inexhaustible well-spring of this life force energy.
In this school of life, most of us take the struggle bus. When you get to the point where you STOP avoiding yourself, STOP avoiding your frustrations, STOP avoiding how you truly feel, you will be let off the bus. Admitting how you feel, what your Soul desires and committing to let go of who you “think” you are, gives you ADMISSION into the always available, grounded, heart-centered experience of life. Becoming intimate with yourself in a soulful way is the path to the greatest joy you can ever imagine.
Deep caveat: simply feeling into and becoming more honest with yourself is not a permission slip to purge negativity onto others, nor is turning hate inward on yourself a way to heal. I am talking about allowing who you are to be okay, as you are, in this very moment. To be a witness to what your inner happenings have to teach you. This is the beginning of cultivating a healthy relationship with yourself. The more of you that you allow and accept, the more freedom you will experience…and the Truth shall set you free.
True love is something our limited minds will never be able to conceive. We must FEEL our way there. By believing the stories and perceived “negative” conditions outside of us as true, we block who we truly are from living. This is a call to say, can we please STOP hanging on to what is hurting us.
A life of survival is just that, living in defense with a need for coping mechanisms. A life of thriving is knowing who you are and participating in life as your true self, which needs no defending, protecting or approval.
This is my 2020: I feel therefore, I am. I am abundant. I am connected. I am free. I am love. I am an embodiment of endless possibilities.
2020 is the year to bring it all up, to let go of what isn’t you and to welcome the highest version of you to life! LET THE LIGHT IN!
